Parking Instructions

We are located at 701 E. Franklin St., Seventh & Franklin Building, 7th Floor, Suite 700, Richmond, VA 23219.

Please allow extra travel time for traffic and parking while the General Assembly is in session.

***Street Parking***

NOTE: There is limited on-street metered parking available which have “Parking Pay Stations” available for your payment. You will need to enter your license plate number at most of these units. Please observe all signs regarding parking regulations. The most common form of payment is by credit or debit card.

Public Parking Lots – SP Plus

Public parking available. Entrances to parking lot are located on N. 7th Street on the left at Grace Street, or N. 6th Street on the left, one block from the Seventh & Franklin Building. Look for a blue and green “P” sign. Daily rates are $5.00/hr or $25.00 day/maximum. If you are paying with cash, exact change is needed. The machine does not give change. (Please note that this is the closest parking lot to our building).

Public parking available. Entrance located on N. 8th Street right after St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on your left, two blocks from the Seventh & Franklin Building. Day rates begin at $5.00/hr and above. Look for the blue and white public parking sign.

City Parking

Daily parking available. 8th and Main Visitor Lot located on northwest corner of E. Cary St. and 8th Street (left side of 8th Street), three blocks from the Seventh & Franklin Building. Hours and rates for parking are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m. begin at $5.00 hr and above.

Standard Parking

Daily parking available. Parking lot located on corners of 8th and Cary Street. Entrance located between 8th and 9th Street, three blocks from the Seventh & Franklin Building. Hours and rates for parking are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. 5:30 p.m. at $5.00/hr and $20.00 per day. Standard Parking - (804) 649-7275.

700 Centre Parking

Parking lot (blue and white sign) located on the right of N. 8th Street, after the intersection of N. 8th and Grace Street, two blocks from the Seventh & Franklin Building. Day rates are $5.00/hr or any fraction thereof.

Driving on I-95 South

FROM FREDERICKSBURG, FROM 95:

Attention, do not take the exit for 295. As you approach the city of Richmond, take Exit #74C to merge onto East Broad Street/US-250 W/US-33 W toward US-33. Stay on East Broad Street for approximately one mile. Then turn left onto N 5th Street. Follow 5th Street until you come to East Franklin Street. Take a left onto East Franklin Street and follow until you reach N 7th Street. The Seventh & Franklin Building is located on the corner of 7th and Franklin Streets. It is a tall, brownish red brick building. Please walk in the lobby entrance off of Franklin Street and take the elevator to the 7th floor. Our office is adjacent to the elevator.

Driving on I-95 North

FROM PETERSBURG, FROM 95:

Take 95 North to the Downtown expressway Exit #74A. Get in the right hand lane as soon as possible. Take the first exit onto Canal Street (it is a .70 toll). Canal Street is one-way. Get in the right hand lane as soon as possible. Follow Canal Street until you reach 7th Street. Take a right onto 7th Street. Go north on 7th Street through until you reach East Franklin Street. The Seventh & Franklin Building is located on the right, on the corner of 7th and Franklin Streets. It is a tall, brownish red brick building. Please walk in the lobby entrance off of Franklin Street, and take the elevator to the 7th floor. Our office is adjacent to the elevator.

Driving on Powhite

FROM CHESTERFIELD COUNTY VIA POWHITE PARKWAY:

Take the Powhite Parkway Northbound towards Richmond. After crossing the James River, stay to the right following this signs to 195/Downtown Expressway. After you pay the .70 toll on the Downtown Expressway, take your 3rd exit, which is labeled the 7th and 9th Street exit. Take a left at the end of the ramp to go on 7th street. Go north on 7th Street through three stoplights. Just before a fourth stop light you will see the Seventh & Franklin Building, to your right, located on the corner of 7th and Franklin Streets. It is a tall, brownish red brick building. Please walk in the lobby entrance off of Franklin Street, and take the elevator to the 7th floor. Our office is adjacent to the elevator.

Driving on I-64 East

FROM CHARLOTTESVILLE/WEST END, FR23OM 64:

Take 64 East to the 3rd Street Exit #75, the next exit after Belvidere. This exit forks; stay to your right. The exit will read “Third Street, Downtown, Coliseum,” and will put you on 3rd Street, a one-way street. You will pass the convention center and cross over Broad Street (Broad is the only large 2-way street you will cross). After crossing Broad, take a left onto Franklin Street (the 2nd street after Broad), and go straight until you see 7th Street. The Seventh & Franklin Building is located on the corner of 7th and Franklin Streets. It is a tall, brownish red brick building. Please walk in the lobby entrance off of Franklin Street and take the elevator to the 7th floor. Our office is adjacent to the elevator.

Driving on I-64 West

FROM WILLIAMSBURG, FROM 64:

Take 64 West to the 5th Street/Downtown Exit (on your left). Go south on 5th Street to Franklin. Take a left onto Franklin; go straight until you see 7th Street. The Seventh & Franklin Building is located on the corner of 7th and Franklin Streets. It is a tall, brownish red brick building. Please walk in the lobby entrance off of Franklin Street and take the elevator to the 7th floor. Our office is adjacent to the elevator.
