The majority of the proceeds from the race will be used to build the Dorothy P. Ott Scholarship Fund, in memory of Dorothy Ott, who served as a front office secretary at Matoaca High School for twenty-four years. The school plans to choose a student each year to receive a scholarship based on their character and dedication to the community...just like Mrs. Ott's!
