Samuel T. Long, an associate attorney at LawrenceQueen, is a fierce advocate for employees and employers who are faced with difficult employment disputes. Sam leverages his experience working for two large, national law firms to help clients achieve a successful resolution to their case.
Sam focuses exclusively on employment law issues, and regularly handles discrimination matters, including claims under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as wage and hour issues. Sam also frequently advises employees and employers on issues related to non-competes and other employment agreements.
Prior to joining LawrenceQueen, Sam practiced employment law at national law firms in Washington, DC and Charleston, WV. There, Sam handled many high-stakes matters for both small and national employers, as well as executive-level and professional employees. Sam received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his law degree from The George Washington University Law School.
Outside of the office, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife, Andrea, and goldendoodle dog, Evie, and regularly attends local music and cultural events around the Richmond area.
